The legislators and people of New Hampshire have told Governor Sununu and his Virginia-based lobbying financiers–and once again in a decisive, bi-partisan way–that so-call “Right to Work” is WRONG for New Hampshire.

Despite the questionable campaign contributions and rumors of feverish back-room horse-trading and arm-twisting by the Governor, workers were once again the winners.

We thank our UBC Brothers and Sisters who took time to email and call their legislators, held signs and went door to door engage other members.  We also want to thank our signatory contractors who took a public stand to oppose this bill and who contacted legislators to talk about why this legislation would hurt workers and businesses in New Hampshire.

We also want to congratulate our brothers and sisters from other unions across New Hampshire who came together in solidarity to stop so-called “Right to Work” and for standing up to and protect our rights to collectively bargain.
