Contractor and Product Specific Training Available

Our training doesn’t stop at apprenticeship, because our industry doesn’t stop developing new products and building methods. Here’s one of our guiding principles: if it needs to be done for one of our projects, employers or carpenters, we’ll develop and implement training for it. That goes for hard skills and soft skills. We’ll even work out the scheduling and location of training sessions to meet an individual company’s needs.

The North Atlantic States Carpenters Training Fund recently partnered with Miller Paneling Specialties-a nationwide panel and wall protection installation company – to train union members in new materials that will be used on several upcoming large-scale projects in the region.

NASCTF Technical Coordinator David Silvay assisted with the classes and says “the members received training on Acrovyn, FRP, and Symmetrix wall protection products, as well as finished handrail and crash bar installation.” This particular training is essential for these upcoming projects, and the Carpenters union is ready to provide the skilled workers needed to successfully complete the work.
