CNY Central Features Local 277 “Day at the Shop”

Thanks to CNY Central who recently visited our newly expanded training facility in Syracuse, highlighting the “Day at the Shop” program in their latest news segment.

This hands-on training initiative is designed to introduce students to careers in carpentry. Hosted by Carpenters Local 277, the program gives students a firsthand experience of the skills they would typically learn as apprentices.

Students from 24 schools across Central New York and the Southern Tier will participate in the program this year, gaining valuable experience and exposure to the trade.
