A strong union needs skills, benefits and ACTION!
The North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters and the New York City District Council of Carpenters today endorsed Governor Kathy Hochul for a full term. The regional Councils represent 30,000 union members statewide and provide a voice for thousands of New York’s most dedicated and skilled workers.
“Governor Hochul has worked hard to get the construction industry moving again in New York State,” said Joe Byrne, Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters. “She has stood up for our members time and time again – protecting workers from wage theft, expanding the prevailing wage, and tax relief for the middle class. Union carpenters are fortunate to have a steadfast champion in the Executive Chamber, and we are honored to endorse Kathy Hochul for a full term as Governor.”
“The hardworking members of these carpenters unions have built and rebuilt New York for generations, and are now helping our state move forward,” said Governor Kathy Hochul. “As the daughter of a proud union family, organized labor will always have an ally in me. I’m honored to receive these endorsements and will continue fighting for workers’ rights and protections for all.”
“The New York City District Council of Carpenters and the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters have kept New York’s economy and working families strong,” said Lieutenant Governor Antonio Delgado. “Together Governor Hochul and I are going to continue to fight for our unions and I’m honored to earn these endorsements.
“The New York City District Council of Carpenters and the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters are proud to jointly support and endorse Governor Kathy Hochul for a full term,” said Joseph A. Geiger, Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the New York City District Council of Carpenters. “During her time in office, Governor Hochul has shown that she is a prominent advocate for workers in New York City and across the entire State. Her commitment to securing fair wages and improving infrastructure is admirable. We look forward to continuing to work with Governor Hochul to build a better City and State for all New Yorkers.”
