A strong union needs skills, benefits and ACTION!
The North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters is excited to announce that Local 328 member Cheryl Lieteau is starring in Tough As Nails Season 5. Sister Lieteau has worked as a journey level carpenter, foreman and superintendent throughout her career, and as an instructor and coordinator with NASCTF. A Dudley resident, she’s currently an instructor with Building Pathways pre-apprenticeship program in Worcester and Boston.
“I felt — and still feel — that there wasn’t a single task I couldn’t do. I could employ leverage as opposed to strength, or a ladder instead of height,” said Lieteau in the Worchester Telegram and Gazette.
While working in retail, she met a woman who was wearing a Carpenter’s emblem. Lieteau asked about it, and the woman gave her information and the address for an apprenticeship program.
“I swear, I’ve never memorized an address so fast,” Lieteau said. “That was 33 years ago, and I’ve never looked back.”
Season 5 of the competition-centered show will premier Sunday, July 2. Catch new episodes every Friday and Sunday at 8pm on CBS and Paramount+.
Be sure to spread the word on social media, at union meetings and on the jobsite, and encourage members and their families to tune in and be a part of #TeamLieteau
