The Carpenter’s union is pleased and proud that Congress and the White House have finalized an historic infrastructure bill with bipartisan support. This investment in America’s future will benefit both workers and employers by creating good jobs, improving public works that help expand our economy and creating stronger communities.

Our union has long believed — and acted on the belief — that party politics should take a backseat to a specific agenda that benefits our members. We were proud to work with members of Congress from both sides of the aisle to pass this historic bill and we will continue to work with all our elected leaders, regardless of party, to advance our core issues of protecting wages, benefits and basic fairness in the construction industry.
